Big tree/ Non-big house
We don't care about convention! This year's tree came from the top of a doug fir - it was the best specimen Eff and I could find on our scouting mission a few weeks back. Not factored into the plan was that it would take close to THREE QUARTERS of an hour to tame the beast with the slightly dull long handled saw and at such an awkward angle.

Wow, that's quite a tree! I see why you might have been delaying the major endeavor. But I can also see why Effie decided it was perfect...
It was quite the festive scene. Me and my manly, yet unsharpened, tools. Eff taking pictures while simultaneously dodging wayward branches and covering her ears from all the cursing.
This gives me an idea for the top of your tree-- the "angel". You should print out a picture of yourself as you are pictured in the shot where you seem to be leaping from the tree, enlarge yourself to about 7", cut yourself out, attach a popsicle stick and some twine and put that at the top of your tree. It would look brilliant and hilarious all in one fell swoop!
